How do the
Digger-Shaker-Inverters work?
Pearman Corporation manufactures 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, and 8-Row Models in row spacings ranging from 26 to 40 inches. These
machines use parallel digging chains to grip the top
of the peanut vines as swept back 4" peanut blades loosen the soil. The
inclined chains then gently pull the peanut plants
from the soil. This gentle pulling action helps to reduce digging losses. At
the rear of the machine, the peanut vines are then directed
using inverting rods to produce windrows of various
configurations. The various models of PEARMAN Peanut Digger-Shaker-Inverters
gently harvest Runner, Virginia, Spanish, and Valencia varieties at speeds of 3
to 6 mph.
